About the Role

The Commercial Account Advisor position requires experience working with Medium and Large Commercial Accounts. Primary responsibilities include managing the needs of prospective and existing clients both in and outside of the office. Through collaborating with the Producer, the Commercial Account Advisor will design and develop risk service plans and be an integral part of face to face meetings with prospective and existing clients, including Loss Control, Renewal meetings, policy delivery and more.

Responsibilities


As the point of contact for new and existing customer inquiries, the right candidate will skillfully address the client in a professional manner while building and maintaining those relationships, along with Carrier contacts through marketing and negotiating renewals. The Commercial Account Advisor will keep the agency management system current by documenting all contact with the client and carrier, as well as updating policy information per Agency Procedures.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Property & Casualty License.

  • Qualified candidates will have worked at least 3 years in Commercial Lines, preferably in an independent agency setting.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy.

  • Self-motivated, with excellent organization and time management skills.

  • Background in risk management and/or sales a plus.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Desire to be a part of a positive working environment where teamwork is key.

  • Possess the knowledge and experience to mentor less experienced team members and collaborate within the Commercial Lines department.

  • *Required to sign a Contingent Signing Bonus Agreement upon hire.
